There were several figures named Elatus or Élatos () in Greek mythology.* Elatus, a Lapith chieftain of Larissa, Thessaly. He was the father, by Hippeia, of Caeneus, Polyphemus, and Ischys who was beloved by Coronis, and a daughter Dotia, possibly the eponym of Dotion (Dotium) in Thessaly (see also Dotis). He was also the father of the seer Ampycus. He might be a descendant or even a son of Ares when his son Ampycus was called a scion of the said god.
