The inflammatory reaction and the white blood cells play a role in the resolution of venous clots.The initial treatment for venous thromboembolism is typically with either low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) or unfractionated heparin. LMWH appears to have lower rates of side effects; however, both result in similar rates of survival. |
